When you ask parents what their biggest dreams for their children are, rarely do they respond, “To be the MVP of the NBA”, or “To be the next Tiger Woods.” Parents want to raise children who are not only happy and healthy kids, but they desire to raise children who evolve into confident, competent adults who are willing to take risks even when it involves possibly failing. To know that their child understands she is enough, just as she is, that she is willing to dream big and create a passionate, well-lived life, this is true happiness for a parent.
Kirsten’s super power is helping athletes, entrepreneurs, business leaders and parents along with their teens identify their dreams, acknowledge what is holding them back, and help them put a plan in place to go for it.
Through motivational speaking, coaching and writing, Kirsten loves connecting with people who know they are meant for more. She writes and co-hosts a podcast, called #RaisingAthletes, on iTunes, about how to raise not only strong athletes, but extraordinary people.
She also speaks on topics about what makes peak performance possible at all stages of life for everyone from a teenager to a pro athlete, entrepreneur, or leader. The “ball stops bouncing” for all athletes at some point, so more important than the athletic accomplishments, become the skills they have learned to become thriving, healthy, adults.
Life is seasonal. There are moments in our lives when it’s time to clarify a dream and other moments when it’s time to pivot and possibly reinvent yourself by acknowledging that is it never too late to live your best life.
